Krak Chocolate - Vietnam (Anh Em B10) 70%.
70% dark chocolate made from Vietnamese cocoa beans.
Late in the 19the Cocoa was introduced into Vietnam, in the province of Ben Tré. Unfortunately, with little success. The cocoa, from the cocoa trees that remained, was eaten by the population raw and directly from the pod. Later, in the early 1980s, it was tried again. The interested parties were the Russians. Before the first cocoa was ready, the iron curtain fell and the potential buyers disappeared without trace. The cocoa was shut down again. Until the demand for chocolate in China grew around 2000. The big companies, from China, wanted to get the cocoa from nearby Vietnam. This was mainly bulk cocoa. At the same time the demand for good cocoa became bigger. The cocoa trees from, for example, Ben Tré that were left over from 1980 and earlier were used to open new plantations with quality cocoa trees.
