Its nutty and intense chocolate taste lends itself perfectly to pairing with a fine port. Those who want to go back to the origins must go to the Amazon jungle of Altamira, in the state of Pará in Brazil. That is where the beans come from.

SAASE is called it in Spanish: sin azúcares añadidos sin edulcorantes, or: no added sugars no sweeteners. There is agave fiber in the chocolate.

Something may be called sugar-free if it has less than 0.5 grams of sugar per 100 grams. But chocolate - and many other products - have natural sugars anyway. And what is agave fiber? Blanxart solves this by printing 0% twice on the packaging.

In the Brazilian state of Pará, a lot of cocoa is grown and the municipality Altamira is at the heart of it. In terms of area, it is the largest municipality in Brazil, it has about 111,000 inhabitants who mostly live around or in the town of Altamira. The surrounding area is tropical rainforest.

The organic dark chocolate bar from Brazil is made from Forastero cocoa beans grown in the Atlantic Tropical Forest, near the town of Altamira. It is high in cocoa percentage but soft and balanced in aroma - ideal for introducing to the Blanxart Origins range.

Tastes: complex and balanced, nutty, with notes of fresh and dried fruits, melded with a soft spicy and earthy nuance reminiscent of liqueur.

Ingredients: cocoa, vegetable fiber (agave), cocoa butter, cocoa powder
