This variety has been specially cultivated for its yield and robustness and the Negro Congo gives its notes of red fruits and citrus fruit.
The cocoa of the Blanxart Negro Congo 82% comes from the Mountains of the Moon: a legendary mountain range in East Africa, where according to the Ancient Greek geologist and Astrologer Ptolemaeus the Nile originates. The noble name 'Mountains of the Moon' owes this mountain to its white, snow-covered peaks. Anyway, the beans are produced sustainably on the lower mountain slopes of the chain in Congo, where a unique, mild climate prevails. The bean variety that is grown and used for the bar is the Forastero.
